My creative mind began when I was twelve years old I used to write novels, poetry, books, movies, songs and films. I've always known since I was a kid that I had this gift with words I wanted to be like Queen Latifah, then I wanted to be MC Lyte my style is quite similiar I am a Hardcore Gangsta Female Lyricist. I recorded my first song at the age of fifteen with a four men singing group that went by the name FLAVORS 4 YOU I sang the hook for one of there songs. Years passed and In 2000 I signed with my first record label Glasshouse Entertainment under (CEO) Norman Andrews aka (SHOT) I went under the name SHAY I was in a group with two other labelmates SLEEPY & SMOKE our group was called One Blood because we felt as if we were family One Blood recorded The one from the w.e.st. and All i know. Other songs from the label include Lord Please, It's the House with HERB DZ, When The smoke clears with T-BONE and HERB DZ, and 4 Elements with SHOT, SMOKE, and HERB DZ we recorded an entire compilation THE AGENDA 2000 where im featured on several more songs along with other featured artist like NOONY & TRILL. Glasshouse worked opposite Pirate Mob Industries with Mr. Sin & together in 2001 Glasshouse helped formulate all the SOUTH SIDE & SOUTH WEST THROWED HUSTLA T'SHIRT clothing lines in Houston. In 2006 I signed with OFFHAND PRODUCTIONS "CEO DOLLA BILL", & changed my name to TAJAI. My mom helped name me by combining my nickname TAZ at the time to my real name SHAY together it sound like TAZSHAY i changed the spelling myself to TAJAI I also recently added DA REALEST to my name to help people understand that I am a REALIST I see the truth in everything and I keep it real, Im loyal, dedicated, valued and trusted highly by my friends they believe in me and my music that means alot to me. I've done shows at The COURTYARD MARRIOT IN HOUSTON, A Peformance at THE SUPER HAPPY WONDERLAND, & THE CAMDEN APT. I am in love with music I would do it for nothing because its my passion its what i love to do like a swimmer loves to swim. It is the embodiment of my soul out on paper and hopefully I can reach people to help them know that they are not alone in the struggles of this life I hope to bring my knowledge of the streets out in a positive and educational format.
