jaQe Can Conquer

iZMO: R&B/Funk
Sub iZMO: Alternative Funk

It's time you heard!!!! Touching the souls of R&B, jaQe has been a powerful vocal force in T.dot's R&B music scene for many years. In addition to her impressive contributions to projects by Keisha Chante, Divine Brown, Ray Robinson, and others, she has established a powerful media presence with appearances on Soul in the Season with Flow 93.5, The Orange Room, City TV’s Breakfast Television, and Canada AM. Audiences at the Toronto Urban Music Festival, Urban Aids Concert (headliner Alicia Keys), and the UMAC Awards witnessed jaQe’s passion for the stage, and dedication to excellence in her live performances. She continues to work with the Funk/R&B legends “Soul fo’ Real”, one of Toronto’s premier soul/funk outfits for which she is the lead female vocalist. Her warm, sultry tone and thought provoking lyrics resonate with fans of soul music and R&B. After years of paying dues as a background vocalist, the time has come for jaQe to bring her unique style and flavor to the forefront. As a soloist she was named “Artist of the Year” at The New York Music Festival for her exhilarating performance of “Crazy” and “Alright”. She was raised in East Orange, New Jersey by her grandparents (Henry and Gwendolyn McGibbon) who also took care of her four other cousins. Church was a prominent part of their everyday life; Mamma wouldn’t have it any other way. Her grandmother would school them every night on the bible and then she would teach them how to use their voices. Not long after they were singing at churches all over the city. And that’s how it all started for jaQe. Artist/Songwriter in her own right, she is here to contribute a neo-soul/R&B/funk sound that resonates deeply with emotion. Her warm sultry tone, and lyrical prowess, appeal to a broad audience of loyal fans, and new working with co-writers/producers and meeting with key industry professionals. Her devoted team, Tremaine(Manager) and Dow Jones(Marketing/Graphic Design) continues to aid her in achieving a debut release with national radio airplay and an internationally broadcasted Canadian/American Music Video, with a view to eventually sharing her sound across the world. Feel the music, tap into to her sound, and let her into your soul. Cause she ain't going nowhere!!!! jaQe has collaborated with the following artists: Keisha Chante Divine Brown Ray Robinson Kira Mae Wade O. Brown Kayte Burgess And More! jaQe’s live performances include: The Brooklyn Cyclones, pregame National Anthem The Orange Room, City TV’s Breakfast Television, Suite884 (headliner Dwele) Soul in the Season with Flow 93.5, Toronto Urban Music Festival, Urban Aids Concert (headliner Alicia Keys), UMAC Awards
