Forth By Day

iZMO: Metal
Sub iZMO: NWOAHM

Forth By Day are a diverse progressive grunge band drawing influences from every style of music audible, molding them into twisted set of groove based riffs that stand strong and sound stronger. Forth By Day were formed late in 2007 from the surviving members of an old hard rock / grunge five piece called 'man down'. Cope, Ben and Hunter set out to define a new path for the old core, working tirelessly to develop the matured sound that was produced.

Forth By Day searched for a suitable bass player for several months to complete the picture and eventually Dave dived in fingers first to lay down the bass lines that put the finishing touches to the style and sound of the band. With the line up of Forth By Day completed, the music has been constantly altered and restructured to produce a full on assault of the senses.

Forth By Day take their name from a chapter heading in the Egyptian funeral text called 'The Book of The Dead'. As the deceased pass through to the afterlife, they are judged so that they can be placed on their chosen path. Judgement is undertaken by the weighing of the heart against a feather.

Forth By Day recorded their first album at Manchester Midi School on the 27th and 28th of September. And continued with a live recording on the 2nd of November at the Cutting Rooms in Manchester with Christophe Bride.

Forth By Day are currently looking for gigs around the country. If you are interested in booking us, please contact the band either through myspace or email us directly at forthbyday@hotmail.co.uk
